Give Your Bra for Breast Cancer

Blog Topics

October is officially Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the Marie Keating Foundation have organised a great campaign this year!

.

Together with the help of Panti Bliss, the Marie Keating Foundation are asking women to donate an unwanted bra in any size, colour, style and any condition over the month of October.

We are so happy to announce our involvement with the ‘Give your bra for Breast Cancer‘ campaign this Breast Cancer Awareness Month, as you can drop off your unwanted bra in our Kimmage and Merrion Gates branches.

Marie Keating Foundation is also calling on people to celebrate breast cancer survivors and women currently going through the disease by uploading a photo of a bra to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using #SayBravo and texting BRAVO to 50300 to donate €2 to the Marie Keating Foundation.

You’re unwanted bras are going to a great cause and will be reused and recycled so nothing goes to waste.

“Some of the donated bras will be sent to NCAD students and the Rediscovery Centre in Ballymun to be recycled as fashion garments or works of art as part of an art and design competition. The remaining bras will be recycled to support people affected by severe poverty and will be sent to Africa to support local women’s groups.” – mariekeating.ie
