Have you heard about Happy Magazine? It’s a free magazine for anyone affected by cancer, including patients, survivors and their friends and family.
Founded by Holly Kennedy, a young breast cancer survivor from Dublin, the magazine publishes online three days a week at happymagazine.ie and also a free print magazine quarterly (January, May, September). The print magazine is available at 90 locations nationwide (including here at Roches).
Happy Magazine focuses on positivity and wellness after a cancer diagnosis and shares inspiring content on beauty, food, health and wellbeing, events and much more. They also publish motivational stories from other cancer patients and survivors and practical emotional support articles from relevant professionals and experts.
Founder Holly was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer in December 2016 at age 32. Happy Magazine was the resource she longed for when she was going through treatment – the tool to show her how you can still be happy, even during cancer. Creating the website and magazine helped Holly through her own experience and her hope now is that it will continue to help others.
Holly has just launched the second print issue of Happy Magazine and it’s packed full of motivational features and inspiring ideas for living well after a cancer diagnosis. We are proud to support the magazine and website by contributing articles on a regular basis and we have also advertised our own business in both the first and now this second edition. Holly also visited Roches recently and wrote all about her experience with us here.
The Happy Magazine website is a positive resource with over 500 posts on all sorts of aspects of a cancer experience. You can sign up on the website to receive their new content direct to your email inbox or if you prefer to follow along on social media, Facebook is their main social channel and their page is very busy with positive content updates every day.
